The Glory Daze Motorcycle Show features bikes and builders from throughout North America, but it’s always great to see those from right here in Pennsylvania. Michael Graham is a local rider who had a motorcycle displayed in the indoor invitational section of the 2025 festival at Pittsburgh Brewing Company.
The featured bike is a 1971 Triumph T120R AEE chopper that was originally built in 1967. The bike was disassembled and stored for many years in the Central Jersey area. Around two years ago, it was sold to a friend of Mike’s who owns American Breed Barber Shop in Burlington, New Jersey, by a customer who was getting his hair cut. Mike’s friend then offered the bike to him. The old chopper was still in pieces. Several parts were missing, but the bones were there.
Mike was inspired by this motorcycle because it was the same type of bike he saw when he was a kid. His father, uncle, and friends all had bikes, and Mike was always drawn to motorcycles from the 1970s. After purchasing the Triumph T120R, he spent around six months looking at photos of choppers from that era and tracking down parts and pieces. Mike was able to get it close to how it had originally looked in 1976.
Mike shared that “Glory Daze was an amazing show with a lot of bikes and great people. One of my favorite parts was the Ives Brothers Wall of Death, which is a stunt show where the team rides inside a circular wall at 90 degrees. They take dollar donations out of your hands as they pass by. This is a show that you don’t want to miss.”
